Vale Jake Flannery
As members of the Community may well be aware, 18 year old Jake Flannery was tragically killed in an accident in Bali last Saturday. Jake came through the Central Coast Junior Ranks and was currently the 1st Division goalkeeper for The Entrance Hockey Club and represented NSW as goalkeeper in the U15 Junior Country team, Hunter Academy team and Central Coast reps U11 through to U17.
Jake's parents Colin & Cheryl Flannery are very active members of The Entrance Hockey Club and Toowoon Bay Surf Club. They are the first to put their hand up to be on the executive, or to organise and do whatever is needed for these clubs. Jake has 3 sisters April , Ellissa & Molly .
The Central Coast Men's Hockey Association asks any business, club or member of the hockey community, where they are possible, to make a donation to the "Jake Flannery Memorial Fund". Nothing is going to fix what has happened or ease the family's pain but it will make life a little easier when the family returns back to Australia soon.
